Professor Lin received his Ph.D. degree from University of London, and his bachelor degree from National Taiwan University in Economics. Before the completion of his doctorate, Professor Lin was recruited by Vensol Consulting, a financial advisory company at the London financial district, as a financial and strategic consultant, specializing in cross-border mergers and acquisitions consulting. Later, he launched Temima Group in London, which later became today’s London Asia Group after merging with other venture companies. Meanwhile, he was also recruited by Imperial College for a research project on the impact of green accounting on agricultural productivity.

 

Professor Lin is also one of the early founders of TCIB. He started a venture company in Beijing with his friends, and the company later became TCIB after a major reformation in 2006. But Professor Lin joined NCNU to embark his academic career before the reformation. He has previously served as the Department Chair of Finance, as an executive director of the EMBA program, and he is currently serving as the dean of the College of Management. Besides his academic works, he is also active in the business sector as a management or financial risks advisor in many small and medium enterprises.

Professor Lin has extensive experiences in the areas of strategic management, organizational behavior, financial management, venture capital, and investment. His research focuses on the impact of mergers and acquisitions. Several of his articles and research have been published in different major financial and economic journals.

 

Previous Appointments at NCNU

Professor Lin joined the College of Management at National Chi Nan University since February, 2002. He has previously served as the director of extracurricular activities at the Office of Student Affairs for two and a half years, Department Chair of Finance for three years, and as an executive director of the EMBA program for two years. Since his arrival at NCNU, he has had more than ten years of administrative experiences serving on all levels of administrative units for the University.

 

Professor Lin is also members of various committees. He was elected or assigned as a member of the 6th University Funds Management Committee, the 7th and 8th Budget Supervision Committee, the 8th University Development Planning Committee, and the 2011 Faculty Assessment Committee.

 

Previous Appointments outside NCNU

Professor Lin has not only served as a project reviewer for the National Science Council at Executive Yuan, he has also been a paper reviewer for many professional journals at home and abroad, including Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Applied Economics, Review of Securities and Futures Markets, Journal of Management, Journal of Management & Systems, Journal of Financial Studies, Chiao Da Management Review, Journal of Outdoor Recreation Study, and Educational Policy Forum. He has also reviewed hundreds of teachers’ promotion documents as well as students’ theses and dissertations.

 

Professor Lin has been an active participant in international professional conferences. He has organized, co-organized and coordinated numerous events. Two of the major conferences he organized were 2006 Contemporary Issues on Finance – Academic Symposium, and 2010 Industry Trends Forum:Challenges and Opportunities in the Post-ECFA era.

 

Professor Lin is currently serving as an advisor to a research technology pricing project for Taiwan Institute of Economic Research, as a supervisor on the 3rd Supervisory Board of Financial Engineering Association of Taiwan (FeAT), as a vice-convener of the 2nd Membership Committee of FeAT, and as an honored instructor on Central-Taiwan SME Honor Instructor Committee.

Professor Lin Lin received his Ph.D. degree from University of London, and his bachelor degree from National Taiwan University in Economics. He was previously recruited by Imperial College for a research project on the impact of green accounting on agricultural productivity. He has been teaching for more than ten years since his return to Taiwan. He has also served as a director of extracurricular activities, as the Department chair of Finance, and as an executive director of the EMBA program. Before he embarked on his academic career, he had worked as a financial and strategic consultant in London, specializing in venture capital management and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Beside his academic career, Lin is still active in the industry, participating in many investment management and financial risk assessment activities. His expertise lies in cooperate finance management, entrepreneurial finance, and investment banks. He is currently serving as the dean of the College of Management.
